How to apply for a Bursary

The following are the requirements for Bursary applications:

  • The student must have been in the school for at least 1 year. This implies that a bursary can only be given in Form 2 and upwards.
  • The girl should be doing well academically (be in 1st division).
  • The girl should have a good conduct record.
  • An application letter from the Parents/Guardian requesting for a Bursary and stating the reasons.

Should the parents qualify in the above:

  • They will be given a Bursary Application Form to fill in.
  • Attach a copy of their bank statements for the last 3 months and a certified copy of their pay slips for the last 3 months.

Overview

Kianda offers a limited number of scholarships to academically gifted girls. The application fee of Kshs. 2,000 is waived for those applying for Scholarship.

The school also offers partial scholarships (bursaries).

How to apply for a Scholarship

The following are the requirements for applying for Scholarship to Form 1:

  • An application letter.
  • Girl’s birth certificate.
  • Her Baptism certificate if applicable.
  • Pre-Mock results and Mock results.
  • Recommendation letter from Head Teacher.
  • One recent, certified and coloured passport photo of the candidate (preferably in School uniform).

If the application meets initial requirements, an Application Form. Together with the Application Form, you will receive a letter giving details about the Entrance Test which is in mid – October. Application Forms are available only at the School. The form should then be filled in and submitted to the Admissions office with all documents attached by end of September.
