It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Kianda School website. The School has been in existence since 1977, and has made its mark amongst the top schools in Kenya in its excellent performance all round. This has been made possible thanks to the cooperation from the parents, staff and students.

Kianda School is a private school for girls and has both Primary and Secondary sections. The School fosters Christian values and principles. In line with its motto, ‘In Opere et Veritate’ (In Deed and in Truth), Kianda strives to produce hardworking and responsible women and to aim for excellence in all areas of their development.

Academics

Every term. For each subject, there are three continuous asessment tests.(quizzes), and an end term exam. The continous assessment marks are recorded in your daughter's progress card and report form. At the end of the term, the school issues a report form. This is an important document to see so that monitor that you monitor your daughter's progress.

Student Life

Grade 1-4 and Std 5-6 report at 7:20 a.m. and leave at 3:15 p.m. Those who go by bus wait till 4: 00pm. Std 7-8 report at 7:20 a.m. and leave at 4:00 p.m. The students are trained from a very young age how to manage their time well and to be self-driven. This has led to the good results over the years and the high discipline levels among the students.

Admission

To enroll your daughter in Grade 1 at Kianda School, please provide the following documents: a completed application form (downloadable from the link), an application letter, your daughter's birth certificate, a kindergarten recommendation letter from the Head Teacher, one recent passport photograph, and a Ksh. 2000/= non-refundable application fee receipt. These documents are necessary for a thorough admission process.
