On a bright morning, Kianda School staff embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to the Our Lady of Protection Shrine in Museve, Kitui County. Despite a longer-than-expected journey, the group arrived to find a peaceful, sacred space perched on a hill, rich in history and spiritual symbolism.
Highlights included a reflection on the shrine’s origins dating back to 1939, the powerful symbolism of the broken pot beneath Our Lady’s statue, and the blessed water drawn by pilgrims. Staff participated in the Way of the Cross, Confession, Adoration, and a deeply moving Mass, all set within Museve’s natural beauty and silence.
The day concluded with moments of fellowship, photos, and local shopping, leaving everyone spiritually refreshed and grateful for the experience.
Our Lady of Protection, pray for us.
