On Saturday 7th, Kianda School had the pleasure of hosting the Grade 10 Parents’ Orientation at the school compound. The event was organized to warmly welcome our new parents and to introduce them to the ethos, values, and facilities that will shape their daughters’ academic journey at Kianda.
The morning began with addresses from the Heads of the various sections, who shared insights into the academic expectations, student support structures, and co-curricular opportunities available to our learners. Each speaker emphasized Kianda’s commitment to holistic education — nurturing not only academic excellence, but also character, leadership, and personal growth.
The Principal also addressed the parents, offering a deeper reflection on the school’s ethos and mission. She highlighted Kianda’s dedication to forming young women of integrity, responsibility, and service, grounded in strong values and a pursuit of excellence in all areas of school life.
Following the presentations, parents were taken on a guided tour of the school. They had the opportunity to visit classrooms, laboratories, and other key learning spaces that their daughters will use throughout their time at Kianda. The tour allowed parents to experience firsthand the environment designed to support innovation, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
The morning concluded with a cup of tea, providing parents with an opportunity to network, interact with members of staff, and connect with one another as part of the Kianda community.
