Eucharistic procession
A Eucharistic procession is an event where the Blessed Sacrament is taken in a monstrance around the school grounds. All the staff and students of the Kianda gathered to accompany Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament around the school. The Blessed Sacrament was placed in a monstrance and carried out of the chapel by the Chaplain, Fr. Fernando. The procession started in the Chapel with benediction. Then the procession headed to the parking shed and had another benediction. We continued to the Kianda Foundation building and had another benediction there. Then finally we went to the Administration block and had the last benediction. We ended full circle, in the chapel, where the Blessed Sacrament was returned to the Tabernacle.
Many unforgettable efforts were put into making the procession a success. The art club ensured that the path laid down for our Lord was exceptional, giving their time and talents for the glory of God. Setting up the different altars was done by the Catering department who ensured that everything the priest required was available. Both the Primary and Secondary choirs ensured that there were beautiful melodies sung on the day. Last but not least, students from different classes contributed by helping the art club finish their pieces and bringing flowers laid down along the path.
All in all the event was beautiful with a multitude of colours, made possible only by a joint effort that was surely recognised and blessed a hundredfold.
