Touching hearts with Music

What better way could you use to touch hearts than music. The annual music concert was awaited with much anticipation and delight by music students, staff and parents. The inspiration came from the fact that the proceeds from the concert would be sent to the victims of Venezuela.

The concert commenced with the Kenya National Anthem sung by Grade 3, followed by Grade 2’s performance of ‘Daima Mimi Ni Mkenya.’ Students who sat for the 2018 ABRSM exams performed their exam pieces.

Chrystal Mageto, Form 4K performed the song ‘Pole pole’ accompanied by her fellow students Mumbi Kebuchi F4K on the Electric Guitar, Sonia Nyamai F4S, Michelle, Christine, Joy and Gabrielle Murungi F4K.  Members of the High School Band also performed ’Kookoo’ by Elani.

Wanjiku Kihungi 7P played the song ‘This is Me’ from the ‘Greatest Showman’ singing along with the artist’s beautiful voice. Wanjiru Maiteri 6T played ‘Roar’ on the drums accompanied on the piano by her teacher, Mrs. Juliet Kahungu. Wow, what a stunning performance! The students were quite grateful to the Music Teachers and the Coordinator Miss Lina Sequeira for organizing this event and giving them a chance to showcase their musical prowess.
