GRADE 8 NATURE BONDING TRIP

2024 GRADE 8 NATURE BONDING TRIP – KARURA FOREST

Our class was the first class going for a trip this year and this brought a lot of excitement. We boarded the bus at around 7:30 a.m. and left at 8:15 a.m.  We were anticipating a great day in Karura Forest.

On the way, we sang songs and told stories. This made us more strongly united as classmates. When we arrived, we were inspected by the guards.  This is because they do not allow any plastic items in the area. We then proceeded onto a five kilometer nature trail walk to various landmarks (e.g the waterfalls) and back to the vehicle parking area. The walk proved very relaxing and educational too.

After the walk, we had our picnic lunch. We spread out our maasai shukas at the field and sat for lunch. Later on , we engaged in various team bonding activities including cycling and tug-of-war.  All-in-all, we had a great deal of fun. We had set out with a goal to unite ourselves and as I speak, I can confidently say that we achieved this goal.
