GRADE 5 TRIP TO THE MUSEUM

GRADE 5 TRIP TO THE MUSEUM

It was 10:30 a.m. when we finally arrived at the Nairobi National Museum.  We were grouped into groups of 10 girls and started with the history of Kenya.  We saw many things but the best was the seat of impunity.  It is made with knives.  I liked the ‘abuu’ which is a musical instrument used by the Luo community.  It is a combination of guards held together with wax.

Next, we went to see live animals.  These were snakes, fish, alligators, and crocodiles.  Some of the animals were out of their cages.  These were snakes, chameleons, and tortoises.  It was a little bit scary but it was fun seeing the animals.

It was amazing learning a lot about our country.  Just imagine the people of those days did not care about clothes.  I liked how they ruled themselves because there was peace. I hope one day we can all live in peace and harmony like those people.
